Title:
OMNIBEARING TILT ANGLE METER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6363912
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simplify the detection of tilt angles in all bearings, by providing an angle sensor on two shafts perpendicular to each other. CONSTITUTION:When a frame body 6 swings with the inclination of a box body 1 to turn a rotating shaft 5b together with a polaroid disc 7, the quantity of light received by a light receiving element 10 varies to run current to a mobile coil 12 accordingly and a rotary torque is applied to the shaft 5b to stop the frame body 6 at a position of balancing with the gravity thereof. The angle of rotation of the box body 1 can be calculated and displayed depending on a value of current flowing through the coil 12. Then, as a rotating shaft 20 inclines, a polaroid disc 26 turns with a weight 27 to vary the quantity of light received by a light receiving element 29 and current flows to a mobile coil 31 accordingly to apply a rotary torque to the disc 26. The disc 26 stops at a position where the torque balances with the gravity of the weight 27 and the angle of inclination of the box body 1 can be calculated and displayed depending on a value of the current. This can simplify the detection of angle and azimuth of inclination.
