To reduce the labor hour of a user by enabling a manual translation for a document obtained by an online mechanical retrieval and its electronic delivery to the user, and to improve the quality of mechanical translation by instantaneously reading the manual translation result of an unknown word to a dictionary (common dictionary) and narrowing the substantial updating interval of the dictionary.
The online mechanical retrieval result can be instructed to be subjected to mechanical translation or further manual translation. The common electronic dictionary D is used for the mechanical translation and manual translation, and to a word set to an unknown work in the first mechanical translation, a translation is given in the following manual translation or in a work for making it into a dictionary by batch processing.
