Title:
OPERATION CONTROL METHOD FOR HEAT PUMP SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07218060
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an operation control system that copes with fault functions of sensors and operation of a heat pump system under extreme conditions for a heat pump system.

CONSTITUTION: Any malfunction of sensors is judged by comparing readings of the sensors with a prediction value that is an index of any fault function. There are selected and controlled expansion valve openings, defrosting operation modes, indoor fan speeds, etc., in response to any combination of a plurality of normal and bad sensors to keep performance and reliability of a heat pump system unchanged. Extreme conditions of a maximum load condition, etc., are judged by comparing a reading of a sensor with a predicted value that is an index of such a condition, and hence a refrigerant flow rate is increased to promote cooling of a compressor motor.
