PURPOSE: To provide the ophthalmic device 1 which does not give a discomfort sense to any testee, and also, can improve the measuring accuracy.

CONSTITUTION: In the ophthalmic device having a front eye part observing function of eyes E of a testee, this device is provided with an image pickup means 2 for converting successively an observation image of a front eye part of the eye E to image information, a storage means 3 for storing successively each image information from this image pickup means 2 and a deciding means 4 for comparing the latest image information with a previously given arbitrary image information, and deciding whether the front eye part is in a normal state or an abnormal state. According to this constitution, no discomfort sense is given to the testee, and also, the measuring accuracy can be improved.
