Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a high response frequency by using an optical deflector which has an arcuate or parabolic light reflection surface.
CONSTITUTION: A reflection mirror 1 having a parabolic reflection surface 6 is moved in parallel in an (x) direction by a piezoelectric element 3 which expands and contacts while fitted to a fixation part 2. Incident light 4 is reflected by the reflection mirror 1 to obtain reflected light 5, which varies in angle θ according to the position (x) of the reflection mirror 1. The reflection angle θ is proportional to a position x0. The whole body is considered to be almost a rigid body, and the resonance frequency of the whole becomes extremely high to obtain a sufficiently high response frequency.
