Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact optical delay device that realizes a large optical path length.SOLUTION: An optical delay device pertaining to the embodiment comprises a first retroreflector, a second retroreflector, a third retroreflector, and a first drive mechanism. The first retroreflector has a first reflection surface and a second reflection surface substantially orthogonal to each other. The second retroreflector has a third reflection surface and a fourth reflection surface facing the first reflection surface and substantially orthogonal to each other. The third retroreflector has a fifth reflection surface and a sixth reflection surface facing the second reflection surface and substantially orthogonal to each other. The first drive mechanism moves the first retroreflector and a set of the second and third retroreflectors relatively. The first intersection of the first and second reflection surfaces is substantially perpendicular to the second intersection of the third and fourth reflection surfaces, and the second intersection is substantially parallel to the third intersection of the fifth and sixth reflection surfaces, the positions of the second and third intersections being shifted in the direction along the first intersection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
