PURPOSE: To keep the shape of optical disc media well and to make a device inexpensive and to reduce the floor area by storing optical disc media horizon tally and inverting automatically the stored optical disc medium within a certain time to store it again.

CONSTITUTION: A microprocessor 407 monitors always a timer 406; and when the timer 406 overflows, each bit of a register 404 is scanned to find bits set to '0'. Bits of the register 404 correspond to individual cells of a storage box 1 respectively, and optical disc media are not stored again, namely, inverted in cells corresponding to bits set to '0'. The microprocessor 407 checks whether there are optical disc media in these cells or not by sensors stuck to individual cells, and an inserting/taking-out mechanism part 304 is instructed to pull out optical disc mediums part 304 is instructed to pull out optical disc mediums there if optical disc media are stored there. The value of a flip flop 405 and the surface of the optical disc medium detected by the sensor of a rotating mechanism part 303 are compared with each other; and if they do not coincide with each other, the rotating mechanism part 303 is instructed to rotate at 180° and the inserting/taking-out mechanism part 304 is instructed to store the optical disc medium again in the same cell.
