Abstract:
To stabilize the variation in laser power due to the shift of a condenser lens.
The device is provided with a light source, a condenser lens which converges a beam emitted from the light source on an optical disk, a tracking control means which makes a converged light spot follow the track or a guide groove of the optical disk, a beam adjusting means which adjusts the quantity of the beam emitted from the light source, and a pair of photodetecting means symmetrically provided with respect to the following guide groove at the peripheral part of the condenser lens, and the quantity of the emitted beam is adjusted according to a differential output of the pair of the photodetecting means.
