Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques of a liquid crystal projector in which an image of high luminance and high contrast can be obtained by using a reflection type liquid crystal display device.
SOLUTION: A polarization rotation element to rotate polarized light in a specified wavelength region is disposed in the optical path where the reflected image light by the reflection type liquid crystal display device passes.
