PURPOSE: To constitute a noise-free optical exposure system driving device by using two spring latches and one actuator for controlling them.
CONSTITUTION: A couple of spring latches are arranged at a clutch part which transmits the motion of an input sprocket 14 rotated by a driving motor in one direction to a wire drum 4 as forward or backward rotating motion. An electromagnetic solenoid 37 is energized for an optical scan on an original, and the 1st inhibition pawl 38A of an operating lever 32 engages the circumferential surface scap tooth (i) of the 1st spring latch as shown by a solid line to rotate the wire drum forward, moving the optical exposure system forth. Then, the solenoid 37 is turned off and the operating lever 32 is moved to a broken-line position by the force of a spring 37; and the wire drum 4 is reversed to return the optical exposure system.
