Abstract:
PURPOSE:To efficiently package an optical fiber coupler by arranging a core closely, or curving a cylindrical protective member arranged outside an welded part at >=1cm radius curvature. CONSTITUTION:The fiber coupler is composed of a curved protective member 11 and an optical fiber element wire 12. The protective member 11 is curved at 1.5cm>=1cm radius, and by 3cm in length, and can be compactly packaged in the corner of a box 23. Thus, the optical fiber coupler used for an optical fiber sensor and an optical fiber amplifier can be easily and efficiently packaged. Moreover, fixing is easily and surely carried out, as well, and a noise caused by a vibration can be suppressed.
