To provide edge tools which can cope in a pair with each size of optical fibers, and can remove the cover of an optical fiber easily and smoothly without giving flows to the bare wire of the optical fiber and further is easy for positioning, and an optical cover remover high in work efficiency using it.
The above purpose is achieved, since the interval between edges 3 and the height of the edge can be changed by using the edge tools which have staged projections 4 which project forward from edges 3, are capable of abutting on each other and have notches 5 at rears on opposite sides of the edges 3 as the edge tools in the optical fiber cover remover which has the paired opposed edge tools and cuts in the cover of the optical fiber by these edge tools, thereby removing the cover.
