Abstract:
To provide an optical gap measuring device with which it is possible to accurately and easily measure the width of a gap in a measurement object.SOLUTION: Provided is an optical gap measuring device 100 for measuring the width of a gap d that is formed between two rollers 101, 102 which are objects to be measured. This measuring device comprises: a projection unit 10 for projecting a rectangular beam toward the measurement objects that include the gap d; a light receiving unit 20 for receiving reflected light from the measurement objects and arranged on the same side as the projection unit 10 with respect to the gap; and a gap calculation unit for calculating the width of the gap on the basis of the received light data outputted from the light receiving unit 20. The gap calculation unit calculates the width of the gap d on the basis of the ratio of first received light data that is received light data corresponding to a relatively small light quantity to second received light data that is received light data corresponding to a relatively large light quantity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
