Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical glass having a high refractive index and low dispersion and having high stability, and a preform and an optical element using the glass.SOLUTION: The optical glass contains, in terms of oxide-basis mass%, 8.0 to 40.0% of a BOcomponent and 25.0 to 80.0% of an LnOcomponent (where Ln represents at least one element selected from the group consisting of La, Gd, Y and Yb), and contains, in terms of external mass% with respect to the oxide-basis mass, 5.0% or more and 50.0% or less of F component; and the optical glass has a refractive index (n) of 1.65 or more and 1.80 or less and an Abbe number (ν) of 45 or ore and 65 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
