Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphoric acid-based optical glass which has high refractive index and high dispersion characteristics and which is suitable for a precision press-forming process.SOLUTION: The optical glass has a glass composition comprising, on an oxide basis, 24 to 34 mass% of PO, more than 0 mass% and 4 mass% or less of BO, 12 to 20 mass% of LiO, NaO and KO in total, 15 to 30 mass% of NbO, 8 to 15 mass% of TiO, and 4 to 25 mass% of BiO, in which a mass ratio (TiO/NbO) ranges from 0.36 to 1.00 and a mass ratio (BiO/NbO) ranges from 0.16 to 1.67. The optical glass has a refractive index nd of 1.78 or more and less than 1.83 and an Abbe number νd of 20 to 25.
