Title:
OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING DISK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6479948
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obviate the spread of an excess film agent to the outside peripheral of a disk and the opposite surface thereof and to obtain a film having a uniform thickness by circumferentially providing notched film agent pools specified in step and width to the outside peripheral edge of at least either of a substrate surface and recording layer forming surface.

CONSTITUTION: The disk-shaped disk having a center hole 1c is formed by using a transparent resin material such as polycarbonate or epoxy and the guide grooves corresponding to tracking signals and the signal patterns 5 such as pit arrays corresponding to address signals or information signals are formed one face of such disk at need. The film agent pools 3 specified to 0.02W0.5mm step and 0.1W0.2mm width are previously formed on the outside peripheral edge of the surface where the patterns 5 do not exist in this constitution to stagnate the film agent flowing out along the outside peripheral face of the substrate 1 in the pool and to prevent the sticking of the film agent to the unnecessary surfaces.
