Title:
OPTICAL PATH STRUCTURE OF OPTICAL SCANNER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002258197
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To make it possible to secure the optical path lengths from light sources to deflecting means, to downsize an optical scanner and to easily and equally regulate the optical path lengths of desired segments relating to all of the light sources by providing a piece of the deflecting means with a pair of Fθ lenses symmetrically while interposing the deflecting means in-between, disposing reflecting mirrors for guiding the rays from at least a piece of the light source among plurality of light sources to the deflecting means on the opposite side of the light sources interposing the symmetrical axis of the arrangement of the Fθ lenses in-between and allowing the optical paths to the reflecting mirror to cross the symmetric axis.

A pair of the Fθ lenses 6 and 7 are arranged symmetrically across a polygon mirror 5 and the reflecting mirrors 4c and 4d which reflect the rays R2 and L2 from the light sources 1c and 1d disposed on the side near the polygon mirror 5 toward the polygon mirror 5 are disposed on the opposite side of the light sources 1c and 1d with respect to the symmetrical axis. The optical path lengths of the rays R2 and L2 to the reflecting mirrors 4c and 4d are increased and are made nearly equal to the optical path lengths of the light sources 1a and 1b, by which the optical path lengths from cylindrical mirrors 3a, 3b, 3c and 3d to a scanning position PS are regulated to be made nearly equal.
