Abstract:

To improve frequency characteristic of a transmission line for outputting electric signals in an optical reception module.

Disclosed is an optical reception module, comprising: a stem provided with a through-hole; a lead penetrating the through-hole; a light receiving element for converting light signals into electric signals, the element being connected to the lead; an amplifier for amplifying the output signals from the light receiving element; and a light receiving element connected to the other side of the lead whose one side is connected to the light receiving element, transmission lines for transmitting the electric signals amplified by the amplifier being formed on the flexible substrate. The transmission lines formed on the flexible substrate are differential signal transmission lines formed by a serial connection of a plurality (N≥2) of transmission lines having different characteristic impedance due to their different line width, the differential signal transmission lines being two lines in a same shape.
