Abstract:
To provide an optical recording medium having high shelf properties, wherein jitter characteristics and the like can be satisfactorily maintained.
The optical recording medium is provided with at least a recording layer containing an organic dye and a light transmitting layer on a board. An intermediate layer composed of a compound containing Ta or a compound containing Nb or a compound oxide containing Ta and/or Nb is provided between the recording layer and the light transmitting layer, and the thickness of the intermediate layer is 1-80 nm.
