Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an optical scanner capable of performing optical scanning with a comparatively simple constitution without using a rotary polygon mirror, etc., and an optical writing device using the optical scanner.
CONSTITUTION: This optical scanner is provided with a light source 2 which turns, oscillates, or rocks at least, and a reflecting mirror 5 having a curved surface amplifying an optical scanning angle of light emitted from the light source 2, and optical scanning is performed by the combination. The optical scanner is used as the optical scanning means on the optical writing device, and the optical writing device is provided with the light source 2 which turns, oscillates or rocks at least, and the reflecting mirror 5 having the curved surface reflecting the light emitted from the light source 2 and converging the reflected light on one point or on nearly one point 4a, and an image forming element 6 image-forming the light from the mirror 5 on a surface to be scanned. Thus, the optical scanner and the optical writing device in which noise and oscillation are hardly caused can be realized.
