Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect a necessary signal without providing a means for inhibiting external disturbing light from being incident by fixing a readout window, a pattern formation mirror, and a concave surface mirror on the external surface of a transparent refracting body in a thick plate shape in one body. CONSTITUTION:The optical system consisting of the readout window 21, concave surface mirror 13, and pattern formation mirror 15 is united with the refracting body 40. Therefore, when there is a light source 10' in the direction of diffracted light of zero-th order of the read window 21, part of the light beam L2 emitted by the light source 10' travels in the read window 21 almost straight and is transmitted, but refracted by one surface 40a of the transparent refracting body 40 to travel along an optical path different from diffracted and reflected light L1', so that the light exits from the other surface of the transparent refract ing body 40 like L2'. At this time, light beam L2 does not reach a photodetector 23, which can detects only necessary code information. Consequently, only the necessary information can be detected without providing any means for inhibiting external disturbing light from being incident.
