To provide an optical spectrum analyzer which highly accurately analyzes the wavelength of an inputted light signal by measuring and composing light signals each having different wavelength ranges and outputted from a plurality of variable wavelength band optical filters to which FBG and temperature controllers are incorporated.
The light signal (a) to be measured is inputted to n-pieces of the variable wavelength band optical filters 8 to which circulators 9, FBGs 10, and the temperature controllers 11 are incorporated. N-pieces of the light signals of which the passage wavelengths are restricted and each outputted from the n-pieces of variable wavelength band optical filters are measured and composed to acquire the wavelength spectrum (k) of the light signal to be measured in the optical spectrum analyzer. The temperature of FBG of each variable wavelength band optical filter is swept via the temperature controller in such a way that the wavelengths λ of the light signals (d) each outputted from the variable wavelength band optical filters may be swept by the wavelength width W of 1/n of the measured wavelength width of the light signal (a) to be measured within the different wavelength ranges R divided by (n) within the measured wavelength range of the light signal to be measured.
