Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the optical switch array which switches many light beams with small area by electrically connecting plural photodetectors of a light input part and plural optical modulators of a light output part through plural photodetectors of a switch control part. CONSTITUTION:The two phototransistors P1 and P1' of the light input part and the two MQW-pin modulators M1 and M1' of the light output part are mutually connected through the four phototransistors S11, S11', S1'1, and S1'1' of the switch control part. The light output part is electrically connected to the MQW-pin modulators M1 and M1' and phototransistors P1 and P1' through a resistance. Clock light beams Pcik1 and Pcilk1' which are made incident on the modulators 1 and M' are partially fed back to phototransistors MP1 and MP2 which are connected in parallel.
