Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical writing device which can accurately adjust a current value.SOLUTION: An optical writing device which irradiates a photoreceptor with light comprises: at least one light emission unit which receives supply of a driving current and emits light; a storage unit for storing a table which indicates a relationship between parameters concerning light emission conditions of the light emission unit and a correction coefficient; and a control unit which acquires the parameters and determines the correction coefficient corresponding to the acquired parameters based on the table, and determines the driving current based on the determined correction coefficient. An increasing rate of an absolute value of the correction coefficient relative to the parameters increases in association with an increase of the parameters, and an interval between the parameters within a range in which the parameter is equal to or greater than a specified value is smaller than an interval between the parameters within a range in which the parameter is equal to or less than the specified value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
