Abstract:
PURPOSE: To correctly decide read order by dividing plural areas extracted from an image into groups consisting of more than specific layers and deciding read order, group by group.
CONSTITUTION: Plural areas taken out of the image are divided into group consisting of ≥3 layers and read order is given, group by group, to given read order to a character area. Namely, there is only one group in a layer 0, are ≥1 group in layers 1-4, and is ≥0 group in a layer 5. Column setting 1 (204) belongs to an article 1 (202). An identical-column group 1 (205) belongs to the column setting 1 (204). A paragraph 1 (206) belongs to the identical-column group 1 (205). A paragraph 1 does not has a group layer 5 consists of lines. A paragraph 2, i.e., an identical group 207 consisting of lines 1 and 2 belongs to the identical-column group 1 (205). Further, the line 1 (208) belongs to a paragraph 2 (207). Therefore, correct read order can be given and the trouble of correction, etc., can be saved.
