PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition comprising aggregate, asphalt, a pressure-sensitive resin, a high boiling point solvent and a filler, capable of being stored over a long period, suitably having flowability, capable of being easily applied, and useful for paving roads, etc.
CONSTITUTION: This composition of 100wt.% comprises (A) 2-7wt.% of asphalt having a penetration degree of 40-100, (B) 0.1-3wt.% of a pressure-sensitive resin having a glass transition temperature of ≤0°C, (C) 0.2-3wt.% of a high boiling point solvent (preferably having a boiling point of ≥95%) compatible with the components A and B, (D) 1-10wt.% of a filler and (E) the remaining amount of dried aggregate. The component B consists preferably mainly of an acrylic resin having 4-12C alkyl groups or a methacrylic resin having 8-15C alkyl groups, having a weight-average mol.wt. of 5000-150000, and especially produced by a solution polymerization method using the component C as a solvent. The component D is preferably fly ash discharged from a thermal power station.
