Abstract:
To provide an organic EL device which can be made thinner and lighter.
The organic EL device is provided with a first electrode 24, a second electrode 22 facing the first electrode 24, an organic functional layer 23 which is pinched by the first electrode 24 and the second electrode 22 and has an organic light emitting layer 233 made of an organic EL material, a color filter layer 32 arranged on an opposite side of the organic functional layer 23 of the first electrode 24, and a moisture absorbing layer 33 arranged between the first electrode 24 and the color filter layer 32. The moisture absorbing layer 33 is made of a material having a moisture absorbing property and a translucent property.
