To provide an organic EL display element capable of preventing occurrence of a dark spot by blocking certainly invasion of moisture and oxygen into the organic EL layer from a color conversion filter layer, and its manufacturing method.

The organic EL display element comprises a first aperture part 30a in which a second passivation layer 30 forms a pixel region by connecting a first electrode 20a to an organic EL layer 60, a second aperture part 30b to connect a second drawing electrode 20c to a second electrode 70, and a third and a fourth apertures 30c, 30d to connect the first and the second drawing electrodes 20b, 20c respectively to an external drive circuit. The shoulder part of each electrode of the first electrode 20a, the first drawing electrode 20b, and the second drawing electrode 20c is covered.
