Abstract:
To provide an organic EL element in which a host material that realizes high light emission efficiency and low driving voltage is included in a light emitting layer, and that has high efficiency and low power consumption in a forward structure organic EL element, and that is highly efficient not only when the organic EL element is applied to a forward structure but also when the organic EL element is applied to an inverted structure element that is advantageous for making the organic EL element flexible.SOLUTION: In an organic EL element, a laminated structure including a light emitting layer is formed between two electrodes, the light emitting layer includes a guest material and a host material, and the host material includes a compound represented by the following general formula (1).SELECTED DRAWING: None
