Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element having improve stability, durability, and light emitting luminance, by holding at least one of layers containing at least one kind of indolizine derivative, a specific compound, between a pair of electrodes. SOLUTION: This compound represented by formula is used. In the formula, X1-X7 are respectively independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a straight chain, branch, or cyclic alkyl group and aralkyl group, and substituted or non-substituted aralkyl group, aryl group, aralkyloxy group, aryloxy group, and alkenyl group. Adjacent groups selected from X1 and X2, X2 and X3, X4 and X5, X5 and X6, and X6 and X7 are mutually coupled, and may form a substituted or non-substituted carbon cyclic aliphatic ring or a substituted or non-substituted carbon cyclic aromatic ring, together with a carbon atom. Preferably, in this luminescent element, a layer containing indolizine derivative is positive hole injection transportation layer and a luminescent layer.
