PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine an eye of organism, a photo, and an artificial eye by a simple method.
SOLUTION: An eye EY of a person to be photographed is illuminated by the same axis as optical axis of a camera 11 to photograph it. At this time, if the eye EY is an eye of organism, retina reflection occurs, and luminance of a pupil region is increased. An organism eye determining part 17 determines whether an eye included in image is the eye of organism or not based on a luminance value in the pupil region of the image photographed by the camera 11.
