PURPOSE: To prevent the dislocation between the real stop position of an external operating handle and the ON/OFF display.

CONSTITUTION: A notch mechanism 9, which consists of a round head pin 11 inserted with a compression spring 12 into a hole 10 having the bottom of an external operating handle 5 and positioning holes 13A, 13B of a body 3, in which the head of the round pin 11 is fitted at the ON/OFF position of the handle 5, is provided between the body 3 of an external operating handle device 2 fixed to the front surface of a circuit breaker 1 and the external operating handle 5 held by the body 3 freely to turn. At the time of ON/OFF operation, the handle 5, which tries to stop at each position, is forcedly guided to the positioning holes 13A, 13B to prevent the generation of deviation between the ON/OFF display and the real stop position of the handle.
