To provide a mechanism and a method for imparting oscillation by which oscillation in the direction perpendicular to a rotating shaft can be imparted to a spindle for holding and rotationally driving a tool or a workpiece, and a working device provided with the mechanism.
The mechanism is composed of a double shaft of a hollow cylindrical shaft 4, which is pivotally supported rotatably to a base 2, and a spindle for integrally joining a collar 12, which penetrates the hollow part of the shaft and is extended, and is pivotally supported rotatably to one end of the shaft, and a spindle holder 17, which is pivotally supported rotatably to the other end. Both end parts of the shaft, which pivotally support the collar and the spindle holder, are formed as eccentric shaft parts 4a, 4b which are eccentric from the rotational center of the shaft. Alternately, an uneven thickness part is provided to at least a part in the axial direction of the shaft and the play of a bearing 3 is utilized.
