Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain inexpensive outer parts for a timepiece with variety of colors, by applying ruggedness to an electroforming shell obtained by coating it with the layers of metals having different color tone. CONSTITUTION:An electroforming die having a surface corresponding to the outer parts for a timepiece, e.g. an electroforming matrix 1 made of urethane resin and to which the outside and inside configurations of the timepiece are transferred, is coated with an electroconductive film 2 by a silver-chain method or the like. The first layer 3 and then the second layer 4 are formed thereon by electroforming. These layers hence have different hues. For instance, the layer 3 may be gold, while the second layer 4 may be white metal such as Pd. Thereafter, the electroforming shell formed in this way is filled with a filler 5 such as resin or metal. This case for the timepiece is mechanically or chemically formed into a rugged state. Consequently, the inexpensive outer part for the watch with variety of colors is obtained.
