Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outside recognition device for a vehicle capable of switching an image processed object among a plurality of objects in proper timing according to circumstances and capable of reducing a computing load for image processing.
SOLUTION: This outside recognition device for a vehicle is provided with a first certainty degree computing means 105 computing possibility that a selected object becomes an obstacle to own vehicle as a first certainty degree, a second certainty degree computing means 106 computing possibility that a tracked object becomes an obstacle to the own vehicle, as a second certainty degree, an identical object determining means 107 determining whether the selected object is identical to the tracked object or not, and a tracked object selecting means 108 selecting an object to be tracked by an image processing object tracking means according to the first certainty degree and the second certainty degree when it is determined that the selected object is not identical to the tracked object.
