Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the connection between seal plates of an expansion joint adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction of the joint.
SOLUTION: An extension joint forms corrugated spaces 9 by providing tooth forms 8 on the upper ends of vertical substrates 7 opposed to each other and, at the same time, the vertical substrates 7 and 7 are connected to each other with main body seal plates. The tooth forms 8 are partially notched to form spaces 11 wider than the corrugated spaces 9 in the ends of the longitudinal direction of the joint of the extension joint. By making use of the wider spaces 11, the insertion of a joint seal plate and the connection between the main body seal plates with the joint seal plate can be executed.
