Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a method for producing oxalic acid with high efficiency by a simple process and within a short time. [Solution] An aqueous solution is prepared, which contains a carbohydrate, hydrogen carbonate ions and calcium ions, wherein the concentration of the carbohydrate is 0.025 mol/L or more, the concentration of the hydrogen carbonate ions is 0.044 mol/L or more, and the concentration of the calcium ions is 0.0018 mol/L or more. The aqueous solution is irradiated with non-equilibrium atmospheric pressure plasma. Immediately after the irradiation, crystals of calcium oxalate dihydrate begin to be precipitated.
