Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a method which can automatically set the number of mobile pulses among those pulses that are generated while one of plural transfer carts connected in a loop moves to each sorting chute from a prescribed reference point. CONSTITUTION:A sorting device contains a controller which produces the sorting signals to the transfer carts based on the number of mobile pulses. A detector 6 is attached to at least one of the transfer carts. At the ground side, the sensors P1-P6 which detect the pass of the detector 6 are provided at the positions corresponding to a reference point and the 1st and final sorting chutes respectively. Then the carts are driven with the normal operation of the sorting device and the number of pulses are counted in response to the detection signals sent from the sensors P1-P6 and while the cart having the detector 6 moves over a fixed section. Then the number of mobile pulses are calculated from the number of those counted pulses and then set to the controller.
