Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a process for producing curved laminated glass having the edge stress of a desired value and an apparatus therefor.

CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for pressing and bending a glass pane (3) has an upper solid-faced bending mold (7) and a lower frame-shaped mold (10). The lower frame-shaped mold (10) is mounted horizontally travelably and simultaneously acts as a support for transferring the cured glass pane (3) to a cooling site. The lower frame-shaped mold (10) is provided with an electric heater (35) and further a temp. sensor is disposed in the lower frame-shaped mold (10). The temp. of the lower frame-shaped mold (10) may be regulated to the desired temp. by an electric power regulator (38) controlled by the temp. sensor.
