PURPOSE: To automate the connection work between a brush and a feeder terminal while increasing the freedom in application and to achieve a good contact state between the tip of brush and the peripheral surface of commutator.

CONSTITUTION: A brush 38 is fixed, at the rear end thereof, with a fixing board 38 and the brush fixing part 38B thereof is connected, at the upper end part thereof, with the upper end part of the terminal fixing part 44B of a feeder terminal 44 through a connection member 48. The connecting member 48 is formed by feeding out a desired length from a reel and cutting. Consequently, the connection work of the brush and the feeder terminal can be automated and since the positional alteration of the feeder terminal 44 can be accomodated by altering the cutting length, the degree of freedom can be increased in the application. Furthermore, a good contact state can be achieved between the brush 36 and the commutator because the connection member 48 can be cut off while considering a margin corresponding to the abrasion of the brush 36.
