Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the device of high luminance excellent in heat resistance, having a laminated structure made up of an anode, hole transport layer, luminescent layer comprising specific dioxazine compound(s) and cathode, in this order.

CONSTITUTION: The device having a laminated structure made up of (A) an anode 2, (B) a hole transport layer 4 consisting of an organic compound, (C) a luminescent layer 3 containing at least one kind of dioxazine compound of the formula [X and Y are each H, halogen or (substituted) phenylthiol; R1 is H, 3-18C alkyl, 1-8C alkoxyalkyl or benzyl; R2 is H, halogen, cyano, nitro, 1-8C alkyl or 1-5C alkoxyl] and (D) a cathode 1, in this order.
