PURPOSE: To facilitate the search for thread ends at the package processing positions by providing a positions to position and hold the inner layer thread end and the outer layer thread end of a package thread layer on a tray mounting and conveying a package.

CONSTITUTION: A package conveying tray T1 is constituted of a disk-shaped base 100 mounted on the conveyance face of a conveyor and a package fitting peg 110 erected on this base 100. The outer shape of the peg 110 is formed into a shape suitable for the shape of the core tube 111 of a fitted package P, a center hole 13 is bored on the peg 110. A loop-shaped thread connected with the thread end Y1 of an inner layer and the thread end Y2 is inserted into this center hole 13 to perform the fixed position holding action of the thread end under conveyance. Of course, thread ends Y1 and Y2 may be possibly inserted into the center hole 13 in the separated state, but it is convenient to insert the connected thread ends for the automatic processing of thread ends, i.e., when the insertion into the center hole 13, withdrawal, thread connection or the like are to be automatically performed.
