Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate holding a needle by forming a binder having an open flap which is pivotally hinged and fixing a suture needle to the open flap to allow the needle to be removed when the support binder is opened and the open flap pivots. CONSTITUTION: The package for the surgical suture 20 has a support binder 100 contained in an envelope 10, which consists of two sheets suitable for attaching and stripping themselves at their periphery, thus forming an adequate pocket for accommodating the closed support binder 100. The support binder 100 is formed by cutting and folding a single card blank comprising three elements attached in a pair by a hinge line. In the support binder 100, the suture 20 is fixed to an open flap 163 with a distance apart from a zone which appears between the two elements. When the support binder 100 is opened, the open flap 163 will pivot to allow the needle to move to a removing position.
