To provide a packaging container capable of containing, in a stable state, a flat object to be packaged or even an object whose thickness is partly thin.

The packaging container has a front sheet 4 and a rear sheet 5, which are respectively connected to each other at their left and right edges 1 and 2 and their lower edges. The respective lower ends 6 and 7 of the front and the rear sheets 4 and 5 have fold lines 9 and 10 curved toward the side of the upper ends 8 thereof. It is designed so that by folding both the lower ends 6 and 7 along the respective fold lines 9 and 10, a bottom sheet 11 consisting of a portion surrounded with both the fold lines 9 and 10 is kept in a raised state.
