This invention relates to a packaging system in which a product M is supplied onto a lifter by a supplying device, the product M on the lifter is pushed up onto a packaging station, the upper surface of this pushed-up product M is covered with a film and the product M is packaged. This system is characterized in that the same comprises a transferring means contacted with the rear end of the product M on the supplying device in its transferring direction X, a sensing means for detecting an amount of displacement in a transferring direction X of the product during a period until completion of the transferring operation and a width direction Y substantially crossing at right angles with the transferring direction and a control means for controlling each of the devices in the system in response to each of the amounts of displacement.
