To provide a packed lunch enabling boiled rice to be eaten in good taste even in a cooled condition, causing the boiled rice not to get biased even if the lunch box lays down, and good in production workability.
The packed lunch 20 is such one that a lunch box 1 with a plurality of compartments 1a to 1e is packed with a boiled rice 10 and daily dishes such as croquette 11, deep-fried food 12, spaghetti 13, Tsukudani(food boiled hard in heavy seasonings) 14 and/or pickles 15 in the respective compartments. In this packed lunch, the boiled rice 10 is formed in a single block so as to be put into a specified compartment 1a and at least one surface thereof is baked, wherein it is preferable that the boiled rice be formed in a single block and a seasoning liquid is applied on its surface followed by carrying out a baking, or rice be incorporated with the seasoning liquid and then boiled and the resulting seasoned boiled rice be formed in a single block and then baked.
