PURPOSE: To prevent a large distortion of the reproduced signal by providing a reproduced signal corrector which inputs the pitch cycle estimated value as well as the reproduced signal obtained from an ADPCM decoder and outputs a corrected reproduced signal.
CONSTITUTION: A reproduced signal corrector 18 inputs the pitch cycle estimated value as well as the reproduced signal given from 8 full-band ADPCM decoder 17 and outputs a corrected reproduced signal. Thus the corrector 18 corrects the reproduced signal. received from the decoder 17 by replacing this reproduced signal with the value set before a single pitch cycle of a fixed section based on the pitch cycle estimated value. Thus it is possible to prevent a large of the reproduced signal that may possibly be produced at disuse of packets with use of only an ADPCM code interpolator.
