Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a packing agent improved in heat exchange performance, useful for heat exchangers, etc., by substituting a highly thermally conductive gas component for the nitrogen and oxygen components adsorbed to graphite powder.
CONSTITUTION: The nitrogen and oxygen components adsorbed to a graphite powder base material are substituted by a highly thermally conductive gas component such as helium gas or hydrogen gas, and the resultant base material is then incorporated with tetrafluoroethylene, a silicone oil or an adhesive such as a resin to obtain the packing agent.
