Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a packing apparatus that is capable of binding, with a simple structure, soft and flexible articles with bands without deforming the articles, and is easily installed within a limited space, even if the articles have widths greater than those of class 2 items.
CONSTITUTION: In a packing apparatus 10 that binds an article B, brought onto a table 11 for packing, with a band A that is provided inside a band guide arch 20 erected over the table 11, a packing width control member 61 that extends from the width of a seal anvil 60 toward both sides and holds both side ends of the article B so that it cannot be deformed when the article is bound with the band A is attached to the seal anvil 60 that holds the ends of the band A wound round the article B and applies adhesion to the ends of the band. The packing apparatus is also equipped with a device that keeps the band A binding the article B in the state of binding when the seal anvil 60 moves together with the packing width control member 61 in a manner of separating from the article B.
