PURPOSE: To protect the needle point of a suture needle in a stable state and to certainly see through the same from outside by exposing the needle point of the suture needle inserted into a soft base plate to the hole or groove cut in the soft base plate.

CONSTITUTION: A soft base plate 1 is formed by cutting a foamed polyethylene plate into a fish shape and a circular hole 2 and slits 3a, 3b for winding suture are respectively provided thereto. The circular hole 2 is provided at a position holding a predetermined distance H from the outside edge of the soft base plate 1. Therefore, when a suture needle 4 is inserted into the base plate 1 from the outside edge thereof toward the hole 2, the needle point of the suture needle 4 is automatically exposed to the hole 2 and can be confirmed from outside. The suture 5 is caulked to the root end of the suture needle 4 to be integrally mounted thereto and wound round the slits 3a, 3b. By this constitution, the suture needle 4 can be fixed in a stable state and the needle point thereof can be confirmed from outside.
